River City Improv is a group of Christians who are alumni or supporters of Calvin College. Our mission is to be a positive force in our community, providing clean comedy to those of us who need to laugh. By providing this comedy in a public setting, we consider ourselves to be in the world, not of the world.

Our shows are often referred to as "short-form improv" because they are built upon a series of games or scenes which have specific rules on which we add suggestions from the audience. If you have seen Whose Line Is It Anyway? you will be familiar with our show. We shuffle the games we play for every show, to make sure that each show is a unique experience.

As supporters of Calvin College, our group is sent by the Alumni Association to travel the country providing our style of entertainment to high schools and local alumni groups. We have been to the four corners of the continental United States and most places in between. However, we do eagerly await a request from the alumni chapter in Hawaii, and if one doesn't exist, we'd be willing to help launch the chapter.
